Technology and innovation are essential parts of modern life. They make our lives easier and make everything almost instant. However, what happens when technological advances are still too slow? According to some, technology produces more issues than it fixes. On the other hand, some believe that as humans adapt, developing concerns about the influence of digital life will be minimized. We, humans, are naturally curious and can adapt to any circumstance. Some technology hacks can solve technical problems and eventually change your life!
1. Listening to E-books
Regular reading is beneficial since it enhances your concentration, memory, empathy, and communication skills. It can help you live longer, reduce stress, and improve your mental health. Reading also allows you to learn new things that will help you excel at your job and in your relationships. What’s the best part? You can listen to e-books now! If you’re bored of reading or simply don’t have the time to sit idle right now, but don’t want to throw away all of those books in your Kindle app, turn them into audiobooks! How to convert any Kindle ebook into an audiobook on your iPhone:
- Open your Kindle App and choose a book.
- Ask Siri to turn on VoiceOver.
- To set this up manually, go to Settings, General, Accessibility, and then VoiceOver.
2. Google Voice Typing
Another tech hack that can greatly help students is a new Google feature called “voice typing.” Basically, it allows your device microphone to listen to what you are saying, and then type it automatically in Google Docs. Incredible! Now, you won’t have to manually write or type your school notes. Just let your laptop do it for you!
However, how is it done? Is it complicated to set up? As a matter of fact, setting it up is easy. However, you must remember that it may type everything that your microphone hears. So if you’re in a noisy setting, this is a huge factor to consider.
How to enable Google voice typing:
- Go to Google Docs and create a new document.
- Find Tools in the taskbar, and then click Voice Typing.
- You must allow Chrome permission to access your microphone the first time you use Voice Typing.
- A microphone icon will appear; click on it.
- Move the tool out of the way by clicking and dragging the window.
- Don’t move your mouse or type anything while voice typing is enabled.
- Voice typing is a real-time processing of your voice. When you’ve finished speaking, press the microphone again.

No, using Canva is not unethical. In reality, Canva is an excellent tool for creating professional-looking images for your company or brand. Canva’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to create attractive visuals. Everything from social media postings to brochures and presentations may be designed. 4. Hearing Aid With AirPods and an iPhone
iPhones have included a function that enables any iPhone and AirPods to be used as a hearing aid or remote listening device for certain DIY spycraft. Try connecting your AirPods through Bluetooth and go into the Settings app then scroll down to “Control Center”.
You may add additional controls to your Home screen’s pull-up control center from here. Return to your Home screen after adding “Hearing” to your controls. Turn on “Live Listen” from the Hearing control whenever you wish to utilize your iPhone for remote listening. This allows you to hear anything picked up by your iPhone’s microphone as long as it is within Bluetooth range, even if it is in another room.
5. Add special fonts to your Instagram bio
Here’s an Instagram profile trick that can genuinely set your profile apart. You can already add emojis to the bio beneath your profile photo, but your keyboard severely limits your options. You may copy over some more unique typefaces not commonly seen in the Instagram community by using a few of simple third-party websites.
Using a service like LingoJam, you may add a different typeface to your Instagram bio from your mobile device. When you open the site on your phone, put your chosen bio text in the lefthand text box, and the same bio text in multiple typefaces will show on the right.
Press and copy your selected font to your Instagram bio, then open your Instagram app, scroll to your profile, select “Edit Profile,” tap the “Bio” area, then paste your font into the empty box.
Font Space is a collection of typefaces you can download and copy into your bio in seconds if you’re editing your Instagram profile on your laptop or desktop. To do so, locate a font you like and click the “Download” button next to the font’s sample picture, as seen below.
